Black Milk - Dismal

This beat is super smooth. New single off No Poison, No Paradise

Cam'ron - Ghetto Heaven Vol. 1

New mixtape from Cam'ron. Yeah the cover is terrible, but reserve your judgement. This is some vintage Cam. Sounds like some Purple Haze/Killa Season era type shit. I'm actually going to go ahead and say this is the best thing he's done since Purple Haze (a classic album by the way). Lyrics, flow, production, etc.... all on point. Go Outside is fucking great. Skits are classic Cam'ron. It's "Killa!"

Odd Future - Look

Tyler, Domo, Earl, & Hodgy all trade bars on this one. This is pretty cool cause these are the Odd Future's heavyweights. They can all hold their own on a song and have all released solid solo projects. Beat produced by Nottz.

Pusha T - My Name Is My Name (Album Stream)

My Name Is My Name from Pusha T on Myspace.

Hip Hop album of the year. I'm gonna go ahead and say it. King Push indeed.

Second Opinion

Okay yeah, this is really really good after one listen. Exceeded my expectations for sure, and they where already pretty high. Though I wouldn't say this better than Run The Jewels,  Twelve Reasons To Die or Acid Rap, so wouldn't call it hip-hop album of the year for me. Plus Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q are still on the way. Sorry to be that guy, but I had to say it.

Anyway, don't sleep on this. Already re-playing it the second time through this morning, some of this reminds me of vintage Clipse (Numbers On The Board especially, that track's grimy as fuck) . After one listen, Nostalgia, Hold On, King Push, & Numbers On The Board are the stand out tracks for me. Though it's a consistent album all the way through.

I will add, as I've been typing this up, I already am thinking it's better than I initially thought. So yeah, maybe this is the hip hop album of the year and I just haven't realized it yet...it's hard to say this early on.

You guys can stream the album for free above and decide for yourselves.

Vic Mensa - Innanetape

If you like Chance The Rapper, you'll probably really enjoy Vic Mensa. The two are good friends and have worked together plenty in the past. They helped each other develop their respective sounds, so obviously this tape reminded me a lot of Acid Rap.  A bunch of hype has been surrounding this guy for some time now. Today he finally released his debut tape, Innanetape. Features from Ab-Soul, Chance The Rapper, Rockie Fresh + more:

Here are a couple singles/videos from the tape:

Outkast - Aquemini [Album Stream] (15th Anniversary)

So today marks the 15th anniversary of the Outkast classic Aquemini. One of the best hip hop album's ever made, and one of my all time favorite's. Thought I'd post it for the occasion:
